Flight time from Los Angeles to Auckland, again via Air New Zealand was about 12hrs 40 mins.
It was a particularly superb take-off and landing, since the Captain put on the nose camera
of the Boeing 747 each time, giving superb pictures, especially approaching Auckland.
Cab fare from the airport to Rydges Hotel right in the centre was about nz$50. The skyline
is particularly pretty.

The skytower is a fantastic place to view the city, and on a clear day it looks stunning. The tower is 328 meters high
and is the Southern Hemisphere's tallest building.
